Tissue Paper

Tissue paper has evolved into an essential everyday product for hygienic and sanitary purposes at home and in public spaces. Like other paper products, tissue paper primarily consists of cellulose fibers. Premium quality tissue is typically manufactured using virgin fibers, while some grades incorporate recycled fibers for reduced environmental impact.

Our innovative EXCELCAT® Series wet-end starches improve your tissue paper quality and lower production costs by optimizing the use of recycled fibers and starch applications. These advanced starches allow manufacturers to produce high-quality tissue paper more economically and sustainably.

Modified Starch for Wet End Solutions

The use of wet end starch, particularly in tissue paper production, has decrease the softness property of the final product. However, this softness can be enhanced by lowering the refining of the tissue furnished.

Our wet-end starch helps improve paper strength through hydrogen bonding during the drying process. It also boosts drainage and fines retention from its flocculation mechanism.

Introducing our EZCAT® Series, a pregelatinized starch that streamlines your wet-end process. It strengthens internal bonding, minimizes paper dust, and offers cost-saving opportunities by allowing you to replace high-quality fibers and chemicals with alternative fiber grades.
