Strengthen Our Farmer Family for a Sustainable Future – SMS Burirum Farmer Membership Day

September 7th, 2023, SMS Group organized the annual event ‘Farmer Membership Day’ at SMS Burirum. At the event, there were more than 200 farmer families joining and participating in the activities, including Big Cassava Root Contest, lucky draw, cassava exhibition, cassava knowledge training, and also cassava stem donation.

The opening ceremony was launched by the honored guest, Dr. Werawat Lertwanawatana (The CEO of SMS), Mr. Chaiwat Chutirapong (Burirum District Governor), and Mr. Sampath Luerkchawee (The Plant Manager of SMS Burirum), stating the objectives of Farmer Membership System.

Farmer Membership Day is arranged annually to give back the rewards and thankfulness to our farmer families, appreciating their high quality and valuable cassava production for the whole supply chain. At SMS, we grant farmers as the origin of worldwide innovation, delivering the value of tapioca products ‘the agricultural product of Thailand’ to supply many industries both domestically and globally. We assure all our membership farmers are treated equitably by the fairness and transparency of the procurement process.

There was a lively atmosphere between SMS staff and farmer communities. We believe that all sustainable successes are initially from strong roots. In this joyful event, we were glad to welcome all farmer families and thanked for the strengthened relationship that has been long built together.
