SMS Hosted the Starch Chemistry Lecture to Enterprenuer Faculty from HCU
December 1, 2023 SMS food specialist team welcomed HCU students (Huachiew Chalermprakiet University), organizing a starch innovation ingredient workshop and lecturing on modified starch for the food industry.
More than 100 students from the Faculty of Science and Technologies for Entrepreneurship have attended and participated in the practical process of modifying tapioca starch to create greater value for food products. In practice, tapioca, one of Thailand’s main agricultural products, is commonly used in many food applications. However, once it has been modified and added value through innovation, it will effectively deliver the functional properties to improve food profiles, including taste, texture, appearance, experience, and cost-effectiveness to manufacturers.
SMS also highlighted the 4 main solutions to help enhance overall food properties to serve the global trend and consumer demand: texturizing solutions, thickening solutions, specialty solutions, and clean label solutions. With these functionalities, food manufacturers can develop products and customize product specifications based on consumer satisfaction.
As a modified tapioca starch manufacturer, we are delighted to push forward Thailand's agricultural products for greater use in the food industry through innovation. We commit to supporting our tapioca innovation expertise and look forward to cooperating with any further opportunities to elevate the food industry to the next level.
