SMS attended SABAH International EXPO, Showcasing Sustainable Solution with TAPIOPLAST®

September 22-24, 2023, SMS Specialist Team led by Dr. Jatesuda Jirawutthiwongchai (Product Innovation Manager of SMS) joined Sabah’s Premier Trade Fair, Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. The key highlight of SMS Solution is TAPIOPLAST®TPS, the functional bioplastic resin derived from natural cassava. TAPIOPLAST®TPS is specially engineered to lead the way to sustainability by providing fast biodegradation.

Many manufacturers have attended and exchanged innovative solutions to drive forward bioplastic products to generate the positive impact to environment. TAPIOPLAST®TPS has an excellent compatibility to other biodegradable polymers which suitably produced to various types of bioplastic products including garbage bags, mulch film for plantation, and also bioplastic straws.

Apart from the expo, SMS was also selected as the green manufacturer of Thailand from more than 70 manufacturers, to attend and admire the policy conference of BCG Economy with Mr. Phoong Jin Zhe (the ministry of industrial development and entrepreneurship of Malaysia) by the incorporation of Miss Lada Phumas (Ambassador of Thailand in KL) and Mr. Worawan Wanwil, (Minister Counsellor (Commercial)/ DITP Malaysia Office Director). The conference was aimed to introduce Thai products and innovation in the area of green energy and one loop cycle, resulting in B2B business matching.
