SMS Together with KMUTT, Drive Forward Climate Change Action

January 17th 2024, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) on behalf of climate change action leading organization visited SMS, scheming the project and action to achieve environmental sustainability with sustainable products.

SMS has introduced the bioplastic pilot plant with full capacity to produce various kinds of bioplastic products, including natural bioplastic resin, biodegradable bags, mulch film for plantations, bio straw, and paper cups for beverages. The primary goal of the event is to find and tune the incorporation from many sectors to help broaden the use of bioplastics from household use up to the public sector.

SMS has launched a wide range of bioplastic products under the brand ‘Yes! Bio’ and donated to KMUTT for sustainability support. Yes! Bio paper cups are plastic-free and specially coated with modified starch instead; thus, they are guaranteed to have a 100% degradable rate in proper condition within 60 days.
