SMS and KMUTNB Signed MOU Agreement, Developing Bioplastic Innovation sms-underline

SMS Corporation and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) agreed to build cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on Bioplastic development from Tapioca innovation. The MOU signing took place at the Science & Technology Research Institute on December 14th.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Werawat Lertwanawatana, CEO of SMS, and other preeminent officers from both SMS and KMUTNB withnessed.The purpose of this MOU is to encourage and cooperate on research and development of Bioplastic from tapioca innovation by establishing Thermoplastic Starch Excellent Center at KMUTNB. This center is aimed to develop and add value to tapioca production ,which is one of the economic crops of Thailand, into bioplastic products with competitive properties and cost effectiveness.

This MOU coverage is focused on the practical use of bioplastic, actual Bio-Circular-Green economy achievement.
