TAPIOPLAST®TPS is evaluated and certified as a compostable material by the international standards and DIN CERTCO (Germany)
DIN CERTCO (Germany) certifies TAPIOPLAST®TPS (registration no. 7W0435) as a compostable material-based on the international standards, EN 13432 and ISO 17088. TAPIOPLAST®TPS is the first tapioca-based thermoplastic starch in Thailand. TAPIOPLAST®TPS compiles with all international standard requirements for biodegradability, chemical composition, disintegration, and ecotoxicity.
Having been verified with the ‘Seedling’ logo means that our product TAPIOPLAST®TPS is fully biodegradable in industrial compostable conditions and we assure that TAPIOPLAST®TPS would proportionally increase the bio-contents of products using TAPIOPLAST®TPS as a component. TAPIOPLAST®TPS is starch plastic that offers versatile compatibility with other often more expensive biodegradable polymers such as PLA, PHA, and PBAT. Consequently, various bioplastic products including shopping bags, garbage bags, nursery bags, and packaging film products become more affordable and friendly to our environment with TAPIOPLAST® inside. More importantly, TAPIOPLAST®TPS improves biodegradation and very well creates the much-needed bio-, circular, and green economy.
With our utmost desire to deliver high-quality, sustainability, and reliability of the products, SMS commits to lead the way to create sustainability for the planet we live in. We all can keep moving forward to the more sustainable world with TAPIOPLAST®TPS innovations.
