SMS Welcomes Mr. Philippe Servetti, CEO of Sophia Antipolis, to Creative X

On November 8, 2024, SMS is honored to welcome Mr. Philippe Servetti, CEO of Sophia Antipolis—Europe's first science and technology hub—during his visit to our Creative X at NSTDA, a space where we bring Experiment, Experience, and Expertise together to connect possibilities for entrepreneurs of all scales.

Mr. Bob Koehler, Sr. Business Development Manager of SMS, guides Mr. Sevetti through Creative X and showcases a range of pioneering sustainable tapioca starch-based products. These include YES BIO, a compostable and recyclable product, and TAPIOPLAST®, a functional bioplastic resin—both offering eco-friendly solutions across applications from farm to fork.

Beyond sustainable materials, the SMS innovation team presents new food innovations, such as waxy tapioca, which enhances food quality and provides outstanding performance, as well as plant protein and resistant starch solutions that promote well-being and sustainable alternatives.

This visit represents a significant milestone for SMS, showcasing the success of our R&D team in developing and innovating modified tapioca starch for various applications in food and non-food industries. We are proud to present Thailand’s tapioca starch innovations  to the international spotlight.
